...While not going very far in it's (by then) precedent histories, the 'discussion' of course, still bears some interest. ; Cons for, fx, how those World trade 'mechanisms', originated at the colonial era. And how, by today are known to still play a part, ao, in the increase from present ecologic havoc. And also of historically, even while (that) lacks some for the specifics to it's pre-1800ian colonial 'background'. ..but already well lots on here, at this place.

"Thinking about the epistemic uncertainty and genocidal imaginings that the life of Louverture evoked in the course of the revolution in Saint-Domingue, per Dubroca, Rigaud, and Edwards, allows Girard to present him in much more cerebral rather than evocative terms of "racial hybridity" as well. Girard writes, 'the inscrutable , towering Louverture was a hard man to befriend; his peculiar position at the juncture of African, Creole, and European influences further isolated him, leaving him a white man in a black man's skin, feared but not loved, alone and lonely' (2011, 25). It is Buscaglia-Salgado, however, who connects interpretations of Louverture's life more directly to the language of "racial hybridity." Buscaglia-Salgado makes the tragedy of Louverture a potent symbol for a vocabulary of "racial mixing":

...It is precisely because the idea of "monstrous hybridity" was so widespread and nearly ubiquitous in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Atlantic discourse that it could so easily be repeated in the transatlantic print culture of the Haitian Revolution as an uncontested and even inconsequential fact rather than as a myth or stereotype. Furthermore, and with far more dire implications for women, Walker blamed female slaves and, by extension, all women of color for the lack of revolutionary prowess to be found among the slaves in the United States. Walker told the tale of 'servile' 'black' slave woman who gave in to her 'natural fine feelings' when she helped a white slave-driver escape certain death at the hands of escaped slaves (28, italics in original). Walker concludes:

But I declare the actions of this black woman are really insupportable. For my own part, I cannot think it was any thing but servile deceit, combined with the most gross ignorance: for we must remember that humanity, kindness and the fear of the Lord, does not consist in protecting devils. (29)

Peterson says of Walker's rendition of this story that 'in Walkers text it is the black woman who serves as the emblem of black disunity' (1995, 65). ... For the militant Walker, however, woman's position as a member of the 'gentler sex, naturally more moral, more loving, more caring than men' was not the virtue or ideal that it would appear to be throughout the majority of the early black press (Horton, 55); instead, these gendered distinctions were nothing more than a weakness that made 'black' females obstacles to freedom rather than allies. The characterization of this 'servile' 'black woman' whose innate weepy sentimentality is portrayed..., was part of a broad myth concerning women's (in)ability to participate in the necessarily depersonalized violence of the Revolution. Maria Stewart not only understood this, but dared to refute it." ; (Daut; p. 323-4.) -...Quite so, apparently - It feels not very difficult to think Walker of had shared the particularly eighteenth/nineteenth-centurist masculine 'value-system', and that for reflected on his (black) females blaming example given in text, such as described in above quote.

Along with the space pilots, common travelers might like to consider alternative energy sources as well, as your generous League of Phoenix (named OPEC) will in the forthcoming 7/8 years, supposedly still produce 80 % of oil and raise the prices from now all-time-high 130 $ a barrel to a shocking 200 $ a barrel...

We present : the fakedom of crystallized bald heads, known from Indianas latest movies - And "yes we know them are in fact ingenuine but we are still keeping them shown for public"($), hey its just like windows, ingenuity hardly nullifies the real usefulness($) of the product.

Beware; the next generation is changing the ways we are about to see some technologies taken for granted - instead of ´quick and dirty´ 2nd level solutions biofuels are thought to becoming a product of some forethought and planning, and, in the same time harddrive market flash technology is offering 30 times greater speeds and "going to significantly change the ways the storage products are designed over the next coming years". - Doesn´t sound a bit too optimistic, though.

As the times get hotter during summer, we find ourselves more or less concerned with primary questions again, that being the climate (change) of course...

Uncle Greenhouse has got a question of the day: Is your no 1. market leading game console containing bromine, phthalates, beryllium, in short is it RoHS free - obviously not, but that shouldn´t be of any threath to your personal health (isn´t it reassuring)...

And while we all spend less (money) from buying online services, more with the aid of our contacts propositions, we could all take notice from celebrities: Britneys saved 80 % by leaving off just one concert revenue, D. Trumps tower is gaining some green publicity as to serve afterwards giant greenhouse for plants - and all this has nothing to with the fact that ongoing food crisis can cause 2.6 million malnutrion just in African horn (Somalia) area alone...

Gecko on the wild

So, once we got here, in our particular corner of Cyberspace, what´s going to be my first subject?

No surprises, I´m first going to write boring stories every other IT-blog is discussing, the internet itself. This time we´ve chosen a real gem, next-generation browsing panel, newest Ffox development version (as I´m writing version number 3).

Why so? There´s not really any real demand for useless lenghty novels from its technical abilities or new improvements. You can read them elsewhere. More detailed technical aspects from new Foxie are represented fx here or, see the release notes here (both Mozilla´s own pages but you can also look other blogs).

To be honest, I´ve chosen this subject simply because I find it important enough to anchor our new blog to a certain time and space. They are saying that newly reborn DVD wars, that being the Bluray-HD battles are over for the good (meaning what?).
Well, the browser wars are certainly not over. There´s one for each taste, usually specialized for certain platform and continuous development of new generations goes on and on (till the distant future).

And I´m telling you, we are not going to be equally democratic here. I´m going to shamelessly praise the newly polished and improved lizard. Even more I´m not going to mention a single word about any other browser. There´s propably several places elsewhere doing that kind of comparisons. So lets get started with our topic; down below there´s the first pic(showing us the main browsing view). We´ve got some extra add-ons installed on the right corner of window, but let that not be of any disturbance.

Doesn´t it look a bit like the earlier version? Yes, but if we take a closer look under the hoodlum, we will soon find out the most thrilling aspects. Here´s quick list:

Third major development is proclaimed to be a new Gecko (1.9) engine. Mozilla claims it to speed up javascript handling as well as lessening memory footprint. I guess time can tell if is quite so, but anyway it sounds thrilling.
Next big thing; New dl-engine can now be used search loaded stuff. Even better it also tells antivirus software to check the content,which is shown in the dl-process.
Next but not least is the Add-on + extensions engine (see pic2). Each extension is listed separately and can be enabled/disabled in the same manner as earlier. But, there´s now also plugins tab, which handles among others content players/viewers in similar manner. Plus to that you have see the themes, update and add-on searchin tabs.
As if these new improvements were not enough, the new Lizard has improved phishing filters and malware sites protection (already present at version 2). There´s even some strange icon turning color to show information and warnings from potential sites (not discussed here).

Taking all these little thrills into consideration, its likely not unnessary praise to say that Gecko 3 might be the Next Milestone on our way to the more enthusiastic, and more secure Cyberspace. Besides that, we find it equally pleasing in many other ways too. If I was in more poetic mood, I might even compare it to the cooling wind refreshing in the middle of the dry Kalahari desert. Or to be less archetypical: a new drops of oil for the rusty motor that has made a quite a distance so far.

You might ask if there is a certain reason us being so oneness in our praises? Perhaps it´s the economical benefit? Or some other gains? No, we are not gaining anything from this. Its just the sole beauty of this new competitor on the everlasting browser-battlefield. Yet, it may be just a small step in the overall process of dehumanization already well on the way in the result of human creativeness (called Cyberspace). It could have arrived earlier and it surely will get copied and transformed too. Will propably have some setbacks too. But there´s more in this than meets the eye...it´s the simple inner beauty than we can´t fail to notice.

The-times-are-changing as constantly as human generations and in the Web thats always even more obvious than anywhere else. Most likely any new software is about to be forgotten as fast as new toys. It is more than likely that we will see an outstanding development in Gecko pretty soon too. And although the next upgrades will propably overdrive the latest I´m still quite certain that when we look back in the coming years we will remember this beauty as a landmark post or like a lighthouse shining in the dark path we barely (we hardly) remember having traveled.

Any of you might be wondering, why I´ve not shown any selfproven examples to further underline my comments on proclaimed quality of Fox 3. Well...the answer is this: I´ve not been able to try the browser in real use. It just one of those things that hadn´t happened until this day and so we are still more familiar with the old Gecko version. Reason being that in the MuleSkinner World we are still waiting for the Ffox 3 to jump out of the its latest (beta)mould...that being in the near future.
